Rentokil Initial is an established global blue chip organisation. We are Britain’s leading provider of business services to a wide range of industry sectors. We currently have a great opportunity for a Credit Control Team Leader within our Shared Service Centre based in Dudley.


The main purpose of this role is to train, develop and support the Credit Control team and maximise the collection of debt and ensure remedial solutions are provided to ensure debtor days are reduced in line with team targets.


The main responsibilities of this Credit Controller role are:


  • Manage the processes associated with prompt collection of debts and maintenance of accounts
  • Maintain age debt profile within business parameters
  • Ensure the team keep up to date on individual tasks and achieve set targets
  • Escalate as appropriate both internally and externally
  • Challenge and manage performance outputs effectively and through formal processes where necessary
  • Lead, engage & direct as appropriate, understand and produce key performance indicators to ensure the team’s performance is maximised
  • Gives clear directions – ensuring communications are clear and simple and understood by all
  • Maintain audit compliance & controls
  • Ability to adapt to and manage change at any time
  • Ensure the team are customer focused and delivers required levels of service at all times
  • Build, strengthen and improve customer relationships
  • Adhoc projects to deliver process improvements within agreed timescales and cost
  • Is supportive and/or positive of other members of team
  • Accountable for delivering against own role description and team deliverables
  • Communicates daily objectives and shares helpful information with the team/individuals
  • Monitors progress of objectives and takes action to ensure delivery to agreed timescales and cost
  • Uses experience to solve current problems
  • Recognises success within the team
  • Instil a responsive and ‘right first time’ approach at all times
  • Ensure relevant controls are in place and executed to audit team against KPI’s and processes


To qualify for this Credit Control Team Leader role, you will have:



  • • ICM qualification would be an advantage

    • Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience                                                       

    • Excellent IT skills including Word/Excel

    • Passion for initiating and facilitating continuous improvement                                                                                          

    • Ability to understand business policies and procedures as they impact on the job role and business activity

    • Ability to understand broader business objectives and the implications of actions on the business

    • Have excellent leadership and managerial skills

    • Have a responsible, professional, and positive attitude

    • Have integrity, initiative and focus

    • Be able to motivate self and team

    • Accuracy with record keeping

    • Excellent spoken & written communication skills

    • Ability to plan, manage & prioritise own and others workload

    • Show passion with a ‘can do’ attitude
