We have central support functions of Human Resources, IT, Finance, Legal and Marketing & Innovation in the Rentokil Initial Head Office locations and in country.


Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct appropriate regular ad hoc audits to ensure data integrity
  • Provide MIS function for HR & Finance reporting on a monthly basis
  • Ensure on-going data integrity of positional hierarchy maintenance, and liaise with HR and relevant managers to address anomalies.
  • Code and follow up all input documentation received via email and post on a daily basis

Capture changes and issue reports on the following:

  • Maternity Benefits
  • Statement of Expenses (Reimbursements)
  • Union Membership Changes
  • Savings Withdrawal Reports
  • Incentive Reports

Perform secondary checking of input and NAV Coding for the auditing of the payroll on a monthly basis captured by the other Payroll Administrator in the following areas:

  • New engagements and issue of employee numbers
  • Transfer & Job Changes
  • Terminations
  • Monthly contract workers

Processing/Capturing on VIP and print and collate all VIP reports for checking on a monthly basis.

Bank Imports

  • Import Salaries batches into ABSA and raise NAV batches on a weekly basis (i.e Subsistence allowance, Weekly Casuals, Reimbursements, etc)
  • Complete FNB Excel Template for Lesotho & Swaziland Salaries on a monthly basis and email to the Payroll manager to be imported into FNB.
  • Import Employee Benefits Payments into ABSA as needed (last day of the month, the 3rd of the month & the 7th of the month)
  • Send transfer request through to the Finance Manager timeously to ensure that there are enough funds in the Salaries bank account for all payments (on a weekly basis).


  • Add new staff members on NAV
  • Process and send through the following journals for approval to the Finance Manager:


  • RISA
  • Print and collate reports to be used for the STATS and STATS SA Reports
  • Update Lesotho YTD Tax Total spreadsheet
  • Update Swaziland YTD Tax Total spreadsheet
  • Print the Company Recon Report from VIP
  • Print various reports from VIP
  • Print Costings
  • Print the Company Recon Report from VIP
  • Print Costings
  • Save and email signed EMP201 to the Payroll Manager after it has been paid
  • Print Costings
  • Email Alpha listing to the Finance Team and Receptionists
  • Email ID listing to the Health & Safety Manager
  • Update Recruitment Report
  • Update the YTD New Engagements, Transfers and Terminations reports
  • Email monthly schedules to the various Unions (3rd party reports) and complete SARS ITA88 cheques
  • Email Garnishee leaver letters to Creditors of terminated employees
  • File Extra Set of the Stats Reports (used for quarterly report)
  • Save and email signed EMP201 to the Payroll Manager after it has been paid

  • INSS & IRPS Payover
  • Stats Report
  • Reallocation- vat on fuel
  • Reimbursements
  • Print INSS & IRPS document received from the Mozambique accountant per email and print for the Finance Director to pay over by the 10th and 20th of the month.

Other Ad hoc duties:

  • Raise PO on a monthly basis for VIP Invoices
  • Other ad hoc projects and assisting the rest of the payroll team in meeting monthly deadlines.


Do you have what it takes? If you want to be considered for this role you will need:

  • BTech in HR
  • Above average communication skills (written/verbal/non-verbal)
  • Numerical acumen
  • Business acumen
  • 2 - 3 years HR or Payroll experience
  • VIP experience is essential
  • Computer literate - MS Office, Windows
  • Strong behavioural connection with values of service, relationships and teamwork
  • High energy level / self motivated /planning and organizing
  • Team player / collaborative / initiative / innovative / persuasive
  • Highly developed communication skills (written / verbal / non-verbal)
